During a heated meeting Tuesday evening, Franklin County commissioners called on Prosecuting Attorney Shawn Sant to step down from involvement in county redistricting.     PASCO – Amazon has announced that it will open two facilities in the city, bringing 1,500 jobs to the area. The new buildings will be across from each other, with one at 1351 S. Road 40 East and the other at 1202 S. Road 40 East. The new buildings here are coming on the heels of new facilities opened in the Geiger area near Medical Lake last year and one that opened last week in Spokane Valley.     PASCO — The School District is launching a five-week educational series Sept. 28 designed to help families overcome reading deficiencies of children. The "Read and Rise" program will run from 1-1:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Oct. 28, officials said. The program is virtual and designed for parents with children ages 2-8.     MESA — A Kennewick truck driver was injured Wednesday, Sept. 15, in a crash resulting from a tire blowout. Angel M. Lule, 27, was transported to a Pasco hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained in the 3:10 p.m. crash on U.S. Highway 395, the Washington State Patrol reported. Lule was southbound on the highway in a 2007 Kenworth truck towing a trailer when a tire blew out near Milepost 45, the patrol said.
