WALLULA JUNCTION — A Pasco man was killed early Sept. 21 in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 12. Salvador Beltran, 28, of Pasco, was pronounced dead at the scene near Milepost 303 in Walla Walla County, about 11 miles east of Pasco, at about 3:10 a.m., the Washington State Patrol reported. PASCO — Pasco is looking for ways to bring a splash of color and culture to its downtown streets — and could transform the area into a new hub for murals. An initiative led by the city’s Arts and Culture Commission will reimburse business owners up to $5,000 if they get murals painted on their buildings by the end of December.
