    RITZVILLE - A man who attempted to stab a local police officer is being held in the Franklin County Jail without bail. Brian Jedediah Sumner, 45, is was booked into the jail Oct. 8 on three counts of first-degree assault, third-degree assault, obstructing a public servant, resisting arrest and felony eluding.
