Motorists should expect delays, plan alternative routes, officials said
HATTON – The southbound U.S. Highway 395 ramps connecting to state Highway 26 will be closed Monday at Tuesday, Aug. 3-4.
According to the state Department of Transportation, the closure is due to a repaving project along Highway 395 from Lee Road in Adams County to the Franklin County line.
The southbound on-ramp will be closed from 7 a. m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, as crews pave it. During that time, Highway 26 will be reduced to one lane, flagged traffic; expect delays, officials said.
Southbound motorists exiting for the Hatton-Coulee Rest Area will not be able to re-enter the highway, officials said.
On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the southbound off-ramp will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for paving. Southbound motorists will not be able to exit U.S. Highway 395 at that location during paving, officials said, encouraging southbound drivers to plan alternate routes to access Highway 26 at that time.
While the off-ramp is closed, crews will also be paving the westbound lane of Highway 26.
Highway 26 drivers can expect delays as traffic is reduced to one lane managed by flaggers, officials said.
