15 votes separate Mullen, Peralta

Top 2 advance to the general election

PASCO — Fifteen votes.

That’s all that separates Rocky Mullen and Ana Ruiz Peralta after the initial tally in the Aug. 4 primary election.

Mullen, a Republican, leads the field of four candidates in the race for the Franklin County Commision No. 2 seat with 669 votes, or 41.6%. Peralta, the lone Democrat in the race, is on his heels with 654 votes, or 40.67%.

Two more Republicans have votes, too.

Terry Ryan Cissne has 153 votes and Cliff MacHugh has 131, for 9.51% and 8.15%, respectively.

Late-arriving ballots will be counted later this week.

The Top 2 candidates advance to the November general election.
