CONNELL – The Police Department has released information on its call s for service during the month of March.
According to a department report, officers had 286 calls for service. Those calls included:
21 – Follow-up calls
18 – Calls to assist other agencies
16 – Assist residents
12 – Animal complaints
11 – Vehicle unlocks
10 – Welfare checks
10 – Suspicious incidents
8 – Extra patrols
8 – Trespassing
8 – 911 hangups
6 – Parking complaints
5 – Juvenile complaints
5 – Alarms
5 – Disturbances
4 – Assaults
3 – Field contacts
2 – Domestic disputes
2 – Lost/found property
2 – Civil calls
2 – Hazards
2 – Malicious mischief
2 – Warrant services
2 – Disabled vehicles
1 – Theft
1 – Crash
1 – Narcotics
1 – Threat
1 – Hit and run
In addition to general calls for service, officers issued 16 tickets and arrested five people by citation for driving while license suspended.
The general tickets included 5 driving without a valid license, 4 speeding, 3 no insurance, 2 dog at-large, 1 second-degree negligent driving and 1 prohibited U-turn.
