Military, overseas ballots in mail

PASCO — Primary election ballots for Franklin County voters living overseas or serving in the military have been mailed.

The Franklin County Auditor's Auction announced the mailing Monday, June 21. The ballots are for the Aug. 3 primary election.

The ballots are the first to go in the mail.

The rest are expected to be mailed in about three weeks.

"We anticipate mailing ballots to all Franklin County registered voters no later than Friday, July 16," the announcement said. "Auditor Matt Beaton encourages voters to vote it, sign it, send it before Tuesday, Aug. 3."

Ballots can be returned via U.S. Postal Service or in person to the Auditor's Office or county voter drop boxes, the announcement said.

Franklin County will be mailing affected voters a guide to the upcoming election prior to sending ballots.

Voter pamphlets will be in both English and Spanish.
