Blown tire leads to crash

PASCO — A local woman was transported to an area hospital following a crash stemming from a blown tire at Milepost 10 on Interstate 182 today, July 13.

Yessina Rojas Mondragon, 43, was taken to the hospital at about 1 p.m., the Washington State Patrol reported.

Mondragon was eastbound on the interstate in her 1999 Mercury Moutaineer when a rear tire blew out, causing her vehicle to overturn, the patrol reported.

She was not cited in the crash; and neither alcohol nor drugs were factors, the patrol reported. Mondragon was wearing a seatbelt.
