Would-be voters still have time to register
PASCO — Ballots in the Nov. 2 general election were mailed to registered voters last Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Anyone who is not currently registered to vote in the state can register online at http://www.votewa.gov or by mail until Monday, Oct. 25th or in person until Tuesday, Nov. 2 at the Franklin County Auditor’s Office, 1016 N. Fourth Ave., Auditor Matt Beaton said.
For those wishing to register in person, the office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thorugh Friday. On Election Day, the hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., he said.
Ballots may be returned to drop boxes listed on ballot-return envelopes, he said. They may also be returned via U.S. Postal Service.
Mailed ballots should be submitted a week prior to the election to give postal office workers time to postmark the envelope, he said.
