Teen arrested for car theft

OTHELLO — A teenager was arrested Feb. 12 after allegedly stealing a car from the 800 block of East Ash Street.

The name and age of the teenager has yet to be released.

According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Othello police received a report of a stolen vehicle at about 3 p.m. that day, followed by a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of South Reynolds Road.

Deputies responded and found the vehicle abandoned, and confirmed it was the vehicle reported stolen, records show.

Witnesses alerted deputies to the direction the teenager who abandoned the vehicle had fled, records show.

Police and the Sheriff’s Office K-9, Nado, tracked the teenager, who surrendered before Nado was released, records show.
