Two graduates receive AgWest scholarships

RITZVILLE – Two Lind-Ritzville High School graduates will receive scholarships from AgWest Farm Credit.

Taylor Galbreath, the daughter of John and Cari Galbreath of Ritzville; and Alexis Melcher, the daughter of Rodney and Jani Melcher of Lind, will both receive $2,500 scholarships.

The local graduates were among 123 students – 27 in Washington state – receiving scholarships from Ag West, which has offices in Ritzville, Moses Lake and Pasco, among other locations.

Galbreath’s scholarship will help cover educational expenses for her attendance at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Melcher’s scholarship, an employee scholarship, will help cover costs to attend University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Employee scholarships are awarded to students with a parent employed by the company.
