Kinch, Boness combine for 342 yards
PASCO – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague boys football team remains undefeated this season after rolling over Tri-Cities Prep, 36-12, during a non-league matchup at Chiawana High School on Friday, Sept. 15.
It was the closest matchup so far this season for the Broncos (3-0), which racked up 402 total yards on offense, compared to the (1-2) Jaguars’ 268 yards.
Bronco running backs Brody Boness and Brock Kinch combined for 342 yards rushing in the road victory. Kinch had 16 carries for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns; Boness had 19 carries for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, teammate Travis Redburn passed for 63 yards, with a completion rate of 66.7%.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars’ office had 44 yards rushing and 224 passing for a total of two touchdowns.
Kinch got the scoring started in the first quarter with a 7-yard dive to give the Broncos a 6-0 lead.
After a Jaguars score, Boness added a second touchdown for the Broncos, breaking off left tackle and racing 69 yards down the sideline for the longest score of the game.
With the Broncos leading 12-6, Kinch would also have a long run, on a first down and 20 and at the Bronco 37 in the third quarter.
Taking the handoff from Redburn, he broke through the line on a dive left for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Later in a third quarter drive, Boness would ramble 24 yards for a key first down. Then Redburn would complete a pass to Gabe Smith near the 20-yard line.
Boness would later get the call and score off left tackle on an 18-yard carry.
This Friday, the Broncos will travel to Kettle Falls for a non-league Class 2B game against the Bulldogs.
Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.

As of Monday, Lind-Ritzville Sprague remained No. 3 in the state Class 2B poll, followed by Northwest Christian at No. 4.
The two teams atop the NE2B will face each other Sept. 29 on Jimmie Snider Field in Ritzville.
